The BMW 3 Series receives several significant upgrades for the 2018 model ahead of the 2019 redesign. The new Shadow Sports Edition is available for 328d, 330e, 330i and 340i models, and includes 18-inch black wheels, gloss-black surround grilles and inserts air-dam, dark lights and rear light accents, and grippier, sport-wrapped steering wheel. The M Sports package, meanwhile, is now available with new 19-inch alloy wheels and dark trim.
Styling of BMW 3 Series
Though not clear in previous spy shots, the new 3 Series will share styling cues similar to the larger 5 Series.Includes a more prominent signature kidney hook and hexagonal LED light elements on the headlights.The lower air intake also has the same rectangular grid with a silver trim piece.
The sides are visually similar to the current model with the classic ‘three-box’ layout, but longer thanks to the new CLAR platform cars that are shared with Series 5 and Series 7. The large wheels fill the steering wheel while the small vents are behind the front wheels to giveCooling the brakes and breaking the bodywork.
Inside, the new 3 Series will be slightly larger than the one coming out, offering more rear legroom and headroom.The slightly button-weight dashboard will be folded down and will use the latest version of the BMW iDrive infotainment system equipped with gesture controls and digital keys.The build quality will be high and there may be extensive skin use, black piano and aluminum effect trim to brighten the cabin.

The latest version of iDrive adds a touch screen as an alternate interface to the controller and a console-mounted knob button. Traffic reporting is enhanced by using vehicle-to-vehicle communications. New Shadow Sports Edition is available.
