2018 New Volvo Xc40 – This world is not at all lack of premium compact SUV. Even so, Volvo believes there is room at the watering hole at least one more thing. The new XC40 was launched in the United States in the first quarter of 2018 as the company’s third model model. The entry-level T4 will be at the forefront, and the Brawnier T5 will have an all-wheel drive through Haldex part-time clutch on the rear axle. Volvo says that the T5 will have 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque but has yet to output power for the T4-although, based on other models that use T4 badges, it should be around 200 horsepower.

The eight-speed automatic box will become the standard in the U.S.; there is no plan to offer manual gearboxes that the low-powered version will enter into other markets. We also will not see a 2.0-liter diesel of 180 hp that will be sold in Europe. The hybrid uses a three-cylinder gasoline engine and the dual-clutch gearbox that Volvo confirmed last year will follow shortly thereafter, and the company also says it will produce an electric version later.

Two trim levels will be available starting from launch, although the official path does not think of it as a conventional trim level. Each gets a choice of exterior color choices as well as good standard equipment. The cheaper Momentum version will have a choice of white roof and also-for the white front mirror cap that is really fashion and white wheels. A slightly more expensive R-Design will have a gloss black roof as standard and some more sporty exterior details, including a prominent exhaust tip. Top-topping inscription models will be added later.

Inside, XC40 is more radical. All versions will come with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the same 9.0-inch graphics-oriented touchscreen installed on the larger XC60, with the same connectivity levels as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The interior trim material includes a textured plastic trim on the door panel and felt in the door pocket. In the pre-production cars we see, the dashboard panel shows embossed patterns based on the Gothenburg area map.

The storage space is generous and includes a pop-out garbage container between the front seat and a room designed to hold a box of tissues. “Cupholders should be for cups,” says Jonas Engström, boss of the Volvo 40 series product, which explains why the company has created so much additional space. The backseat is a decent place for adults, but a rising beltline will make it harder for smaller kids to see it. According to Kettle, this is an indication that the design team aimed XC40 especially in those who have not started the family. The optional IntelliSafe system includes a semi-autonomous Volvo Pilot Assist, which can work up to 81 mph, and a cross-traffic traffic alert system that will automatically brake if it detects an approaching vehicle as it retreats from the parking lot.

As with other Lynk & Co brothers, Volvo plans to offer XC40 with an enhanced leasing scheme known as Care by Volvo which is described as a subscription model. We are informed that this ultimately includes joint ownership or the ability to rent a car to other drivers, but initially it is likely to be a single payment model that includes enhanced insurance, maintenance, repair and servicing services aimed at those who suffer from the poverty of the times modern.

The price will start at $ 34,195 for the front-wheel-drive T4 Momentum, which will not be available until 2018, and $ 36,195 for the T5 all-wheel-drive Momentum, which will reach the U.S. dealer. at the beginning of the year; R-Design trim adds $ 2500 to both models.
